Charlie Wang

Catalyst
I was born in Taiwan and now reside in Chino, California, with my lovely wife and our two beautiful children. Together, we have made this city our cherished home. Having immigrated during my teenage years, I identify as a 1.5 Generation Chinese-American—a unique blend of cultures that has profoundly shaped my identity and perspective.
At 25, I felt a strong calling from God to become a pastor, dedicated to teaching the Bible faithfully, bilingually, and with clarity. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I left behind a career in music—a passion I had poured my heart and soul into—to follow this new path.I’ve been blessed with opportunities to learn and grow along the way. I earned bachelor’s degrees in Guitar Performance and Biblical Studies, followed by a Master of Divinity from Talbot Theological Seminary. While studying at Talbot, I worked as a teaching assistant and research assistant in subjects like Exegesis, Systematic Theology, and Historical Theology.Over the past 15 years, I’ve served as a pastor and now have the joy of being the founding pastor of the Chinese congregation at CrossPoint Church in Chino. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m grateful for the chance to walk this path of faith and service.

Tony Wang

Catalyst
Pastor Tony Wang serves as a church planter at Grace Irvine Church (PCA) in Irvine, California, spearheading an initiative to plant multiple Chinese churches on the West Coast. Burdened to reach the growing population of Chinese immigrants, he is dedicated to a movement of planting gospel-centered churches. Pastor Wang also co-founded City Lights Church Planting Network. A former engineer and graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary, he has a passion for evangelism and systematic theology. Pastor Tony is married to Lin, an accounting professor, and they are proud parents of three children: Josiah, Karis, and Vera.
