The Incubator Intensive Launch begins with a two-day Gospel Fluency & Renewal experience designed to help participants deepen their understanding of how the gospel impacts every area of life and ministry—not just our initial conversion. Throughout these two days, we will explore the difference between gospel-centered transformation and self-help approaches to growth, while examining the anatomy and effects of idolatry, particularly the challenges commonly faced by church planters. This foundational experience is designed to foster personal renewal, spiritual health, and a stronger gospel-centered framework for ministry.

In this module we will examine the rhythms and practices that contribute to emotionally healthy leadership. Topics will include spiritual disciplines, the shadow side of leadership, leading from a healthy marriage and family life, and practicing regular Sabbath rest.  Also in this session, church planters need more than vision and gifting—they need wise counsel, accountability, and healthy pastoral support. In this session we will discuss the importance of church oversight during the early years of planting and how to establish healthy relationships with those entrusted to guide and care for you, your family, and the church.

What is the church, and what are we actually trying to build? In this session we will explore the biblical foundations of the church and how our theology shapes the way we gather, lead, disciple, worship, and engage in mission. Together we will discuss topics such as church leadership, discipleship, pastoral responsibility, and the role of the church within God’s mission in the world.

By default, many church planters build churches that closely resemble the churches they previously experienced. But what would it look like to preserve the best of what shaped us while also faithfully engaging the unique context God has called us to serve? What if you developed a vision for pastoring not only your church, but your neighborhood and city as well? In this session we will explore contextualization, cultural awareness, and the opportunity to participate more fully in God’s mission within your community.

Vision, mission, and values should shape the way you and your team approach ministry week after week. In this session you will learn how to develop these elements in ways that are both compelling and practical for your church and context. You will also be introduced to our Strategic Planning Document, which you will continue developing throughout the year and complete by June.

Develop a biblical framework centered on communion, community, and commissioning while mastering the art of creating meaningful gathering spaces.
Healthy teams are not conflict-free teams; they are teams that know how to navigate disagreement, disappointment, and difficult conversations with grace and truth. We often drift toward unhealthy extremes—avoiding hard conversations in the name of kindness or speaking truth without sufficient love or empathy. In this session we will explore team formation, trust, accountability, feedback, and conflict resolution to help you build a healthy leadership culture.

What missional habits are defining your core team, and how are those habits being intentionally taught and modeled? Where in your community can you begin sowing evangelistic seeds together? What pathways and on-ramps does your church have for people who are exploring faith or visiting your church for the first time? In this session we will discuss various models of missional engagement and practical ways to cultivate an evangelistic culture within your church. We will also host an additional Zoom session focused on social media, branding, and communication strategies.

Many church planters assume that if they reach people and teach the Bible faithfully, discipleship will naturally happen. However, many churches lack a clear strategy for developing and equipping people through the different stages of spiritual growth. How will you create environments and opportunities that help people mature as disciples and leaders? In this session we will explore different discipleship models and help you begin developing a discipleship pathway that fits your church and context.

Church planting often includes seasons of disappointment, criticism, loneliness, uncertainty, and spiritual fatigue. In this closing session we will reflect on what it means to remain faithful over the long haul and how God often forms leaders through hardship, weakness, and perseverance. Together we will discuss endurance, dependence on God, emotional resilience, and cultivating a vision of ministry shaped not merely by visible success, but by long-term faithfulness to Christ and His mission.
